Not a single regional issue is more important than resolution of the Karabakh conflict in the context of regional peace, said U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Matthew Bryza stressed the problem will be in focus during Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg’s visit to Baku.

U.S. will continue its policy of promoting democracy, and today we will discuss with the representatives of companies how to make everyone feel advantages of economic growth, he said at the meeting of the Azerbaijan-American Chamber of Commerce.

Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg will visit Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan on February 23-26, as well as Albania and Bosnia. In his regional tour Steinberg will be accompanied by Assistant Secretary of State Philip Gordon.
