Israel and Chad resumed diplomatic relations after 47-years-break, said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a visit to an African state.
Netanyahu and President of Chad Idriss Déby Itno announced the resumption of diplomatic relations between Chad and Israel, BBC reported.
Both sides view the resumption of relations as the key to future cooperation for the benefit of both countries, the statement said.
His one-day visit followed Deby’s November trip to Israel.
