Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his French counterpart’s visit would not contribute to friendship between the states.
In an interview with AFP, Erdogan noted Turkey would like to host Nicolas Sarkozy as President of France, but not the heed of G20, Turkey-based Habershow reported. “In this context I believe Sarkozy’s visit to France will not increase the level of French-Turkish relations,” he said adding Sarkozy had not visited Turkey since he assumed president’s post.
On Friday Nicolas Sarkozy plans to arrive on a short visit to Ankara where he will meet with president and prime minister.
