Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Sunday that Israel is recognizing the speaker of Venezuela’s parliament—Juan Guaidó—as interim president of Venezuela, RIA Novosti reported.
“Israel joins the United States, Canada, most of the countries of Latin America and countries in Europe in recognizing the new leadership in Venezuela,” Netanyahu said in a taped message.
