The EU expects progress from the forthcoming meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby said in Baku.
He noted the EU should pay more attention to the South Caucasus to prevent new conflicts and not to allow reiteration of the existing ones, Azerbaijan-based APA news agency reported.
Semneby also welcomed Russia’s efforts to assist the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. “We are interested in solution of all conflicts. We want Azerbaijan and the entire region to live in peace,” APA quotes the EU official.
