The circumstances behind the confiscation committed by the head of the Hrazdan community of Kotayk Province and the amount of the confiscated sum have been clarified under the criminal case being investigated by the Charentsavan Investigative Division of the Investigative Department of Armenia’s Investigative Committee in Kotayk Province.
Armenia’s Investigative Committee told NEWS.am that, in particular, between 2002 and 1 July 2018, Aram Danielyan, who was the head of Hrazdan community of Kotayk Province and always had organizational-managerial and administrative-economic functions as an official, took advantage of his official position and confiscated a total of AMD 102,198,525 of the taxes collected as land tax and property tax via the head and deputy head of the tax department of the staff of Hrazdan community council and through appropriation and squander between 2015 and 2018 and spent it for his personal needs, causing a particularly large amount of damage to properties in Hrazdan community.
As already reported, on 26 February 2019, Aram Danielyan was arrested. On 28 February 2019, Danielyan accepted his guilt, restored the damage of AMD 102,198,525 caused to the State and was released from attachment.
The preliminary investigation continues.
