Pakistan’s civil aviation authorities said airspace of the country will remain closed till March 4.
The airspace was closed for commercial flights after the Pakistani army announced shooting down of two Indian fighter jets which violated country’s airspace in the disputed region of Kashmir.
The situation in the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir and border regions of Pakistan escalated after 49 Indian soldiers were killed in a suicide attack of “Army of Muhammed” terrorist organization.
On Tuesday evening Indian air forces targeted the supposed base of the militants on the territory of Pakistan. Two Indian fighter jets were shot down, Pakistani military officials said.
The shooting on the border continued on Tuesday, while Russia, U.S. and EU called on the parties to show restraint.
