Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia (RA), Nikol Pashinyan, on Saturday issued a message of congratulations to the country’s diplomats, on the occasion of Diplomat’s Day.

“The foreign policy priorities of the RA, unshakability of the security of Armenia and Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], dignity of our citizens, and will to see our country better are those values that lie at the core of your activities.

“There are major issues on the agenda of Armenia’s foreign policy (…). Armenia’s normal development, security, and international standing are conditioned by our position on and posture toward those issues.

“At present, Armenia is moving on the road of bold and irreversible reforms (…). You, the diplomats, also have an important mission in these processes.

“Today Armenia has reached the highest standing ever reached on the international arena.  (…). We need to be able to materialize all this with foreign policy and economic achievements.

“Our joint mission is turning Armenia into a country of law and justice, truth and most important values.

“Strengthening the economic component of Armenia’s foreign policy is one of our urgent tasks today, and the MFA [(the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)] has a great role in this task.

“Today we have an exceptional unity toward pushing our nationwide agenda forward (…); in that regard, I expect consistent and dedicated work from you.”
