On 5 March, Armenia’s Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan visited the family of National Hero of the Republic of Armenia Vazgen Sargsyan and congratulated them on the birthday of the Sparapet (Commander-in-Chief).

The defense minister, accompanied by the Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and officers, laid flowers at the tomb of the Sparapet, toured the house-museum of the state, public and political figure and was introduced to the samples that were on display for the first time ever. Davit Tonoyan also left a note in the register.

Tonoyan granted the original of one of the orders that former Minister of Defense Vazgen Sargsyan had signed on 5 March 1992.
