I don’t think submitting the draft law on reforms in the structure of the government to the National Assembly for discussion is too important today. This is what Chairman of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Governance, Agriculture and Nature Protection of the National Assembly and Deputy of the My Step Alliance Varazdat Karapetyan told journalists on 6 March.

He also expressed the view that the government would present this issue to the National Assembly for discussion in the form of a draft law in the next two to three weeks.

When asked why the government hasn’t made a decision on the government’s structure to this day, the MP stated that the government most likely wants to discuss everything in detail and understand the situation at hand.

“Of course, we MPs will show active participation and make proposals since there are different opinions on the issue in parliament. This is why we need to discuss the issue together. It is a major issue, and we must not rush,” said the MP of a political party that has been talking about optimization of the state apparatus for several months now.
