YEREVAN. – When the press reported information that Armenia plans to purchase four Su-30SM fighter aircrafts from Russia, Azerbaijan decided to intensify the negotiations with Islamabad over the purchase of the Pakistani Block 2 JF-17 Thunder fighter aircrafts, military expert Van Hambardzumyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As per the analyst, Baku has already signed a contract for the purchase and supply of these fighter jets.

“Baku plans to receive them this year already,” he added, in particular.

Also, the military expert expressed confidence that all the latest military acquisitions of Baku yet again attest to the fact that Azerbaijan does not intend to resolve the Karabakh conflict pacifically, and that it is actively preparing for the resumption of large-scale military operations.
