On 11 March, Armenia’s Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan received newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Armenia. H.E. Mrs. Lynne Tracy, as reported the press service of the Ministry of Defense to NEWS.am.

The defense minister congratulated Lynne Tracy on assuming the office of U.S. Ambassador to Armenia and wished her success in her career. Davit Tonoyan stated that the Armenia-U.S. cooperation has always grown in the past 17 years and expressed confidence that the current cooperation projects will continue to be implemented and new projects will also be implemented.

In her turn, Tracy stated that she was glad to meet Armenia’s defense minister and discuss opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation in the defense sector.

Issues related to regional security, the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the humanitarian mission in Syria were also discussed during the meeting.
