On 11 March, Armenia’s Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan received Chief of Russia’s Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant-General Igor Kirillov, who is on a working visit to Armenia.

As reported the news service of the Ministry of Defense to NEWS.am, importance was attached to the significance of the Armenian-Russian cooperation in radiation, chemical and biological safety and the fight against medical-biological diseases and epidemics during the negotiations.

Discussing the current state of partnership and the perspectives for joint activities, the parties expressed certainty that it is necessary to develop and implement Armenian-Russian bilateral programs in the mentioned sector.
