Our visit to Istanbul was merely technical. This is what Deputy of the My Step faction, member of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Anush Beghloyan said during a press conference at the National Assembly on 12 March.
Beghloyan particularly informed that during the visit, the parties had several meetings with representatives of different delegations. “We met with representatives of the Russian, Greek and Serbian delegations, as well as the Turkish and Azerbaijani delegations. Of course, we didn’t discuss issues out of the scope of the rules and regulations,” the MP said.
Beghloyan also mentioned that Armenia’s membership to the PABSEC is in Armenia’s interests and added that the PABSEC has to become a parliamentary assembly like the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, but for the Black Sea region.
Recalling the fact that the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation tried to adopt a decision without Armenia’s participation in 2017, the MP assured that the members of the current Armenian delegation have an extremely negative attitude towards such behavior.
