On 13 March, Armenia’s Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan received Vice-Chairperson of the Committee on National Security and Defense of the Seym of Lithuania, ex-Minister of Defense of Lithuania Rasa Juknevičienė.

As reported the press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, issues related to the Armenia-Lithuania cooperation in the defense sector were discussed, and importance was attached to the conduct of high-level discussions on issues of mutual interest and the development of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats during the meeting.

The interlocutors also discussed issues on regional security.

After the meeting, Mrs. Juknevičienė watered the fir tree that she had planted in the premises of the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense during her official visit as defense minister in 2012.
