The US could suspend preparations for the delivery of F-35 aircraft to Turkey, said acting assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs Kathy Wheelbarger.

According to her, the US can take this step in order to send a signal to Turkey, Reuters reported.

“The S-400 is a computer. The F-35 is a computer. You don’t hook your computer to your adversary’s computer and that’s basically what we would be doing,” Katie Wheelbarger said.

According to her, such decisions are connected with the purchase of Russian S-400s by Turkey.

However, Wheelbarger did not clarify exactly what steps Washington could take.
