One should not expect anything special from the Armenian-Azerbaijani-Russian presidential meeting in Sochi, as Baku is trying to thwart the negotiating process once more, Hrayr Karapetyan, Chairman of the Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Committee, RA Parliament, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Azerbaijani will never reject his destructive policy, militant rhetoric and sniping across the line of contact. “However, by means of its diplomatic channels, Armenia must be able to influence the international community for it to pres official Baku into changing its policy to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” Karapetyan said. He stressed that Armenian diplomacy must capitalize on the Azeri provocations on the line of contact and cause the international community to see Baku’s real worth.
He said that no progress in the peace process is possible until Nagorno-Karabakh is involved in it.
“Yerevan must be persistent,” Karapetyan said.
