On 29 March, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Armenia Judith Farnworth.

As reported the Government to NEWS.am, greeting the guest, Tigran Avinyan said the Armenian-British relations are growing dynamically in both the political and economic sectors. He stated that there was significant potential and expressed certainty that it would be possible to raise the bilateral relations to a higher level through joint efforts.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Judith Farnworth stated that the United Kingdom supports the reforms underway in Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed the programs under implementation in the spheres of good governance, improvement of the business climate and the investment policy.

Tigran Avinyan introduced the Work Armenia Program and talked about the government’s intentions to modernize the public administration system. Taking into account the United Kingdom’s leading experience in employment policies and public management, the parties agreed to conduct a more in-depth study on the opportunities for cooperation in those directions.
