ECHR sentences are expected in 23 cases of torture of Armenian military and civilians by Azerbaijanis during the April 2016 hostilities, 168 Zham reported referring to an expert on international law, Ara Ghazaryan.
“A total of 350 lawsuits were filed in cases of torture of military and civilians, as well as civilians displaced by the war.
The cases have not been considered yet, but 336 lawsuits have been registered, Ghazaryan noted.
According to the prosecutor's office of Nagorno-Karabakh, on the facts of the murders and mutilated bodies of 19 servicemen of the Defense Army during the hostilities in April 2016, six criminal cases were initiated, and three separate criminal cases were instituted on the facts of beheading,” the newspaper noted.
