The UK Prime Minister Theresa May has asked the European Union to postpone Brexit until June 30, CBC reported. 

May sent a letter to EU leaders and offered to expand the deadline, so that the UK parliament has time to agree on Brexit deal and Britain doesn't crash out of bloc.

UK should withdraw from the EU on April 12. The conditions for leaving the EU and settling further relations have not yet been approved by the UK Parliament.

Theresa May also noted that UK would seek to leave the EU before European Parliament elections scheduled for May 23.
