YEREVAN. – Within the framework of its official visit to Rwanda, the delegation from Armenia—and led by Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan—on Sunday visited the Smart Africa center, and met with Director General Lacina Koné of the Smart Africa Secretariat.
Mnatsakanyan presented to Koné the smart development agenda which the Armenian government has adopted, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Also, the minister underscored the inclusion of Armenia’s IT sector representatives in his delegation.
At the end of the talk, the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) of Armenia signed a memorandum of understanding with the Smart Africa center.
In addition, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan spoke about the preparations for the 2019 World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT), which Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan will host in October.
