The Pentagon has signed contracts for nearly a billion dollars with two companies to build a wall on the US border with Mexico, the agency said in a statement on Wednesday, The Hill reported. 

In particular, one contract worth $ 789 million was received by the Texas company SLSCO Ltd. This money will be spent on building barriers in the area of the city of Santa Teresa in the state of New Mexico.

The second contract for 187 million dollars went to Barnard Construction Co. Inc. It will build a wall near the city of Yuma, Arizona.

Construction work on both orders is expected to be completed in the fall of 2020.
