OSCE head’s calls on withdrawal of snipers from the line of contact addressed only to the Armenian side, proves that he does not expect Azerbaijan’s constructive stance and responsiveness, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated at the Armenian Parliament on March 23.
“Meanwhile, Azubalis was seriously concerned over the current situation and growing number of victims in the line of contact. He tried to solve the problems with the help of the Armenian side. Nalbandian recalled that earlier the OSCE Minsk Group, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon addressed Baku to remove snipers from the frontline, but Baku refused to give an ear to the international community. “Today Baku is pursuing unconstructive and uncompromising policy. For this reason, work is needed with Azerbaijan, but not Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, which are ready for cooperation,” Nalbandian stressed.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, during his recent visit to Armenia, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Audronius Azubalis called on the Armenian side to remove snipers from frontline.
