During his working visit to Gegharkunik Province today, Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan also paid a visit to the Orphanage of Gavar SNCO to become familiar with the issue on the meat that had been supplied to the orphanage, as reported the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.

The employees told the Ombudsman that the children hadn’t eaten that meat. The orphanage’s deputy director said the administration noticed the problem after looking at the meat and sounded the alarm to the State Food Safety Service to record the fact.

Arman Tatoyan also learned about the conditions of the orphanage, had talks with the children and asked if their rights are protected.

Bad food had been supplied to the orphanage, and according to the orphanage’s administration, the supplying company had eliminated the flaws within a three-day period.
