The lawyer of the former Minister of Ecology of Armenia Aram Harutyunyan, Arman Bayadyan, will file a petition to dismiss Judge Nelly Baghdasaryan, who is considering complaints against the decision to resume the case of Harutyunyan and others.

The court of general jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan held Wednesday a court hearing on the case of complaints against the decision to reopen the case of Harutyunyan and others, during which Bayadyan raised the question of how the appeal of Harutyunyan was endorsed by judge Nelli Baghdasaryan.

The complaint was filed by Araks Dilanyan, accused of assisting in receiving a bribe by Aram Harutyunyan, who was also directed against the decision to reopen the case, and the complaint of the former environmental minister was signed by another judge of the court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan, Mnatsakan Martirosyan, who sent it to the former head of the court of Yerevan Ruben Vardazaryan. And that, in turn, conveyed the complaint to Nelly Baghdasaryan for consideration along with the complaint Dilanyan. Lawyers for the defendants claim that there is no statutory procedure for combining into one proceeding and for jointly considering cases that are in the proceedings of different courts.

The question of rejection will be discussed at the next meeting.

For a long time, the defense demands to cancel the decision to reopen the criminal case against Aram Harutyunyan and others.

The former minister is accused of taking bribes and money laundering. Aram Harutyunyan, through his lawyer, said he did not recognize the charges against him. In his regard, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen, he is wanted.
