Before the revolution, I had promised that the budget revenues would increase by 25 to 30 percent in one to two years, and behold! The state budget revenues have increased by 25.1 percent, or by 152 billion drams, in the first half of 2019, as compared to the same period last year. The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, noted this in a Facebook post.
He added that as a result, the following major projects have been able to be launched: As of June 1, the salaries of military servicemen have risen by an average of 10 percent; as of September 1, the salaries of about 38,000 teachers will increase by 10 percent; as January 1, 2020, pensions will increase by 10 percent; additional 7 billion 400 million drams will be allocated to road construction in order to repair 330 kilometers of roads; additional 10 billion drams will be allocated to communities—and through subsidy programs—to implement community projects; and 3 billion drams will be allocated to resolve—and with one program—the housing problems of people who lost homes in the 1988 earthquake, and toward whom the obligations of the state are de jure recorded.
