Acting President of Tunisia Mohamed Ennaceur has extended the state of emergency for another month. This is what the administration of the head of state reported on Facebook, according to TASS.

A state of emergency was declared in Tunisia following a terrorist act that took place in the center of the capital on November 24, 2015, leaving 13 dead and 20 injured.

On July 25, President of Tunisia Beji Caid Essebsi passed away at the age of 92. According to the country’s Constitution, the head of parliament shall be appointed the acting head of state.
