In 2019, there are 253,600 people (152,200 men and 101,400 women) in Armenia who are officially registered as unemployed persons, and in 2018, there were 237,600 people (133,100 men and 104,400 women) registered as unemployed persons, as reported the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.

The majority of job seekers are women. As of June 2019, 82,522 citizens (54,714 women and 27,808 men) sought jobs. Out of the 82,522 citizens seeking jobs, 2,471 are persons with disabilities, 480 — persons having attained the age of pension, 18,641 — employed persons and 63,400 — unemployed persons.

Based on the indicators of June 2019, in terms of the number of officially registered unemployed persons Lori Province is the frontrunner, followed by Armavir Province and Vayots Dzor Province.
