Russia handed over the presidency of Council of interregional and transborder cooperation of CIS member-states to Armennia.

On March 25, the participants of Council’s meeting discussed draft concept of interregional and transborder cooperation between CIS countries till 2020 and further programs in Tsaghkadzor city, the press service of Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The participants decided to establish a working group, led by Russia’s representative.

Armenian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan met with the participants of the meeting.

The participants also discussed prospects for improvement of interregional and transborder partnership within the CIS, as well as intensification of ties between the regions in CIS area.
