Under the instruction of the Minister of Healthcare of Armenia, more specialists (obstetrician-gynecologist, reanimation specialist) have been called to the maternity hospital, and a session has been organized. This is what Spokesperson of the Ministry of Healthcare Alina Nikoghosyan wrote on her Facebook page, touching upon the miserable incident that took place at Margaryan Maternity Hospital in Yerevan.
“Unfortunately, a mother-to-be died while giving birth at Margaryan Maternity Ward today.
As soon as the Ministry of Healthcare was informed about the incident, under the instruction of the Minister of Healthcare, more specialists (obstetrician-gynecologist, reanimation specialist) were called to the maternity hospital, and a session was organized.
An attempt was made to transport the mother-to-be to another multi-profile medical center, but unfortunately, she could no longer be transported.
I must also mention that the council for obstetrics and gynecology adjunct to the minister always thoroughly considers all deaths of mothers in order to identify the reasons and do its best to eliminate them.
Currently, we are waiting for the results of the forensic medicine expert examination.
The Ministry of Healthcare expresses deep condolences to the family and relatives of the mother-to-be,” she wrote.
