YEREVAN. – We all would very much want to have a national air carrier, a local carrier, a stable, strong airline operating throughout the world. Tatevik Revazian, Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, noted this at a press conference on Tuesday.

“It’s good to want,” she added. “But as the Civil Aviation Committee, we’re not going to create that [airline] company. We oversee safety; we have no right to create a national carrier.

“I would like that company to be stable before we give it that title because if it isn’t so, that will discredit Armenia.”
