On March 31, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with President of Swiss Confederation Micheline Calmy-Rey.
The officials attached significance to the effective cooperation between the two states’ foreign ministries and stressed that the agencies reached agreements to hold regular bilateral consultations, the press service of Armenian Foreign Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Nalbandian and Calmy-Rey also discussed Armenia-Switzerland cooperation within international agencies. The diplomats touched upon regional issues, particularly the current stage of peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict. In this regard, Micheline Calmy-Rey emphasized that Switzerland keeps track of the developments in the Karabakh peace process. According to her, Switzerland contributes to the steps by the OSCE Minsk Group.
