April 1, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited the Jermuk International Company, representative of PepsiCo International in Armenia. The Armenian Premier got acquainted with the company`s activities. The enterprise, which is to be launched this May, will operate up-to-date European equipment.

The RA Government`s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that, to organize the production of sweet carbonated beverages, the Jermuk International Company imported 2.8 billion AMD worth equipment last year. Under its resolution #1437-A of November 11, 2010, the RA Government extended the term of VAT payment (560 million AMD) for the imported goods worth more than 300 million AMD until October 25, 2013.

The enterprise plans to sell its products mainly in Armenia, with products in glass containers to be exported to Georgia as well. The company intends to create 250 jobs, with the monthly wages to exceed the average in the private sector.

The company has ordered a new production line to produce natural juices of the PepsiCo International brands. The products will be sold both in and outside Armenia.
