Leader of Libya’s opposition Interim Transitional National Council said the rebels would declare ceasefire if certain conditions are fulfilled.
Mustafa Abdel Jalil said leader Muammar Gaddafi should withdraw his forces from all of Libya’s cities and give people greater freedoms, Lenta.ru reports referring to Reuters.
He confessed that in case hostilities continue the opposition will need more weapons to fight Gaddafi’s forces.
Immediate ceasefire is one of the demands of the UN resolution on Libya. Earlier, the official Tripoli declared unilateral ceasefire but later hostilities continued.
Armed conflict between forces loyal to strongman Muammar Gaddafi and the opposition continues since mid February.
