The Armenian community in Istanbul went on an annual pilgrimage to Kayseri and Hatay provinces of Turkey to conduct liturgies at local Armenian churches.

The prayer by archimandrite Tatul Anushyan, the head of the religious council of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople, found a great response in Turkish mass media. Articles entitled “The Armenian community prays for Turkey” were published in local mass media.

“God, let solidarity and integrity of Turkey not be violated. Let happiness and welfare increase in the country,” he said in his prayer at a church in Hatay (Cilicia province), Turkish Cihan agency reports.
