Georgia loses territory on the coast of the Black Sea, Giorgi Gachechiladze, Head of Green Party of Georgia said.

According to him, this is the result of changes in the sea, which are not due to natural causes but human intervention. “The situation on the coastline of the Black Sea is alarming. When Turks built a barrage on the river Chorokh, the coastal line has lost its basic material, particularly sand and stones. They were brought by the river, which flows into the Black Sea via Georgia. Today they are in Turkey’s territory, whereas sea stretches to the shore in Batumi. Turks are to blame for it,” he said.

Gachechiladze noted that the sea stretched to the shore by 1 km in Poti too. As a result houses and other buildings appeared under water, Pirveli agency reports.
