YEREVAN. - Elections of the president of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) are to be held in a month. Incumbent President Radik Martirosyan’s term expires in May 2011, the Yerkir (The State) newspaper writes.

“According to the information at our disposal, some members of the Academy do not want Radik Martirosyan to remain president of ANAS and are going to vote for other candidates. However, he will be re-elected under the order from the administration of [Armenian] president. The ANAS building usually serves as headquarters of the election campaign for the Republican Party of Armenia, and presidential and parliamentary elections are orchestrated there,” the newspaper writes.
