YEREVAN. - The Heritage party and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) are rather in opposition to the Armenian National Congress (ANC), David Shahnazaryan, an ANC Central Office member, told journalists on Wednesday.

“Armenia’s political arena is as clear as never before. There are ruling authorities, there is united opposition represented by the ANC, and there are political and public forces in opposition to the ANC,” Shahnazaryan said. “The Heritage party and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun are rather in opposition to the Armenian National Congress. But I do not think they will succeed.”

According to him, the present stance of the Heritage party and the ARF-D do not promise bright political future.

“They will be either marginalized or will find themselves in the political archives or in the ruling camp,”’ Shahnazaryan said.

He urged the political forces not to “burn all bridges behind them.” Shahnazaryan believes that it is the ANC that shapes Armenia’s domestic policy.
