Several people were injured in a major road accident today in Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province.

At about 5:30pm, the car driven by Vazgen Ghalachyan, 22, a resident of Nerkin Getashen village in Gegharkunik Province, and the car driven by Gagik Kareyan, 50, a resident of Gavar town, crashed on the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway.

Shamshyan.com reports that as a result, Kareyan’s passengers—Gavar residents Agonik Iskandaryan, 56, Ofelya Begoyan, 45, Nvard Ghlijyan, 61, and Janeta Mukoyan, 67—had suffered light injuries, and were taken to Gavar hospital.

Reports are being prepared on the accident.
