During its session today, the Armenian government decided to establish a procedure for issuing certificates for purchase of apartments in order to provide homes to the people forcefully displaced from Azerbaijan in 1988-92 and in need of homes the most.

The aim of adopting the draft decision is to set the conditions for issuance of certificates for purchase of apartments, issue the certificates through the conclusion of contracts with the families forcefully displaced from Azerbaijan and set the term for obtaining apartments through a certificate for one year, without the possibility of extending the term.

The draft decision proposes to ultimately solve the issue of housing for families forcefully displaced from the Republic of Azerbaijan between the years of 1988 and 1992.

The adoption of this decision will ensure the inalienable constitutional right of 112 families to live a dignified life and will solve the housing issues that have existed for 30 years.
