Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Safar Abiyev held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart in Turkey.

Turkish mass media report that speaking on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Minister Abiyev burst into issuing new threats against Armenia.

Abiyev expressed hope that the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process will produce results. At the same time, he added that Azerbaijan will not cede its territories. It has mobilized its efforts to prepare its armed forces for liberating its land when necessary, Azerbaijan’s MOD said.

“Armenian armed forces must withdraw from Azerbaijani territories without any preconditions. All the Azerbaijani territories must be returned,” Minister Abiyev said.

Haber 3 reports that Abiyev thanked Turkey for supporting Azerbaijan in all areas and restated the two nations have no problems.
