Hundreds of people have been injured as a result of a powerful earthquake in Albania, RIA Novosti reported referring to Exit portal.

According to local media, strong underground vibrations were felt directly in the capital, as well as in the city of Durrës, which is located closest to the epicenter.

Thirty kilometers from Tirana, two residential buildings collapsed, two more buildings collapsed in Kawai, near Durrës.

Hundreds of people have already applied to local hospitals; their exact number is still unknown. No casualties were reported.
