YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia made a decision at today's session to build a new maternity building for the Austrian Children’s Hospital in Gyumri, after appraising the market value of the plot of land to be allocated to this end, investing it as a statutory capital of the hospital, and thereby increasing its statutory capital.
Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan noted that the adoption of the draft resolution presented by the government is conditioned by the allocation of the necessary space for the construction of the maternity building of this hospital.
The justification of this decision states, in particular, that as a result, a maternity hospital in accordance with modern construction norms and equipped with the necessary equipment will operate in Gyumri.
The deputy minister noted that the construction work will start in 2020.
Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan, in turn, noted that with the construction of this maternity hospital, the other maternity hospital in Gyumri will be closing, and therefore the number of beds need to be sufficient.
