The Special Investigation Service of Armenia has instituted a criminal case based on the studies conducted by the State Oversight Service within the Police, as reported the news service of the Special Investigation Service of Armenia.

Based on the materials that the Special Investigation Service received from the State Oversight Service, a criminal case has been instituted under articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia in relation to the cases of prima facie crime of misuse by public service officials of official powers in the processes of acquisition and maintenance of transport and other technical measures by the Police, the procedures for purchase of various products and services and the expenditures of grants and subsidies granted to several companies, commission of official negligence and use of official position to carry out anti-competitive practices.

Preliminary investigation is underway.
