On her Facebook page, deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly Taguhi Ghazaryan has touched upon the fact that Bright Armenia Party might decide to recall head of Light faction Davit Khazhakyan from the Council of Elders of Yerevan.
“Bright Armenia Party is trying to save its infamous and anti-constitutional investigative committee.
I watched the briefing of Mr. Marukyan and Mrs. Tandilyan, who talked about the reasons why they are recalling their member of the Council of Elders, but I didn’t understand the following: are the members of the faction, the media or the mayor to blame, or the thousands of citizens who have applied to them?
They simply needed to be honest and admit that they had thought hard and understood that creating an investigative committee of the National Assembly for investigation into the municipality of Yerevan is not only unconstitutional, but also strictly vulnerable.
It was clear that the very first issue of the investigative committee would be to find out why the members of the Council of Elders of Yerevan aren’t overseeing the work of the mayor and why the political party has to engage deputies from the National Assembly to help the partisans,” she wrote.
