YEREVAN. – Hraparak newspaper writes: On December 21, the Bright Armenia [party (BAP)] will mark the 4th anniversary of its formation, and will convene a governing board meeting 2-3 days later to decide whether or not [its] Yerevan Council of Elders’ member Davit Khajakyan will stay at or leave the Yerevan Council of Elders.
The [BAP governing] board consists of 10 members. There is information that the majority will vote against the decision to deprive Khajakyan of the council of elders’ mandate. And the main justification would be that the Bright cannot ignore, refuse the vote of confidence given to it as Khajakyan's mandate will be passed to Anahit Bakhshyan who is not a BAP member. The board will declare that the BAP is no longer responsible for the conduct of the partner women [in the council of elders from the Republic Party].
