The criminal case instituted in relation to the release of information about a claim for money from former Head of the State Supervision Service of Armenia Davit Sanasaryan has been dismissed. This is what Davit Sanasaryan wrote on his Facebook page today.

The Facebook post particularly reads as follows:

“Dear friends,

I would like to inform you that today the investigator of the Erebuni District Investigation Body dismissed the case of extortion connected with the accident involving a child.

I would like to state that there were two testimonies about extortion in this case that, according to the investigator, didn’t serve as sufficient evidence to bring a charge. However, the two incomplete and phony testimonies for bringing a charge against me under the “famous case” of the State Supervision Service were considered satisfactory, and as a result, I am now an accused-on-trial and my powers are suspended.

My attorney and I have yet to consider appealing the investigator’s decision. I had no intention to do any harm to that woman. I reported the crime only to prevent the inadmissible and unlawful act committed by that woman and to make this serve as a lesson for others.”

A criminal case had been instituted on the ground of the publication of a claim for money from Davit Sanasaryan.
