A charge has been brought against Director of Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology of Armenia Razmik Abrahamyan, as reported Head of the Information and Public Relations Division of the Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Naira Harutyunyan.

Abrahamyan is charged with separating the child from the parents without the parents’ consent and usurping power.

“A charge has been brought against Razmik Abrahamyan under point 2 of part 2 of Article 167 and point 3 of Article 300 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The investigator has filed a motion with the court to select detention as a preventive measure,” she stated.

On the evening of December 18, Razmik Abrahamyan was transferred to Armenia Medical Center where the on-duty doctor said he has been visiting the medical center frequently with heart problems. “Last evening, his situation sharply deteriorated, and now he is in the reanimation unit,” the doctor said.
