YEREVAN. – Hraparak newspaper of Armenia writes: Davit Khajakyan's [head of the opposition Luys faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders] report on official falsification of documents and signatures at the city hall was forwarded by the prosecutor's office to the police for "preparing materials."

This, so to speak, is exactly what [Yerevan mayor] Hayk Marutyan wants, since he and Acting Chief of Police Arman Sargsyan are childhood friends, and they say that he [Marutyan] has contributed to his [Sargsyan] appointment.

“To get rid from it, the prosecutor's office transferred the case to Hayk Marutyan's friend, the police. By the way, in case of Arman Sargsyan becoming chief of police, Nor Nork district head Hayk Mhryan, who is also their childhood friend, will become the first deputy chief of police,” our source at the city hall said.
