The opening of the Smart Solutions Center was made possible by the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and with the support of VivaCell-MTS.
Among those attending the opening ceremony were Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan; Minister of High Technological Industry Hakob Arshakyan; General Manager of VivaCell-MTS Ralph Yirikian and others.
“This program serves as one of the best examples of cooperation between employers and universities. I believe the opening of this Center will serve as an additional impetus for the cooperation between businesses and universities. The companies to be established at this Center will also help solve the issue of development of research, which is one of the government’s priorities,” the minister said.
According to Hakob Arshakyan, international experience has shown that partnership with the private sector helps universities develop modern programs and makes university education competitive.
